Faces of our history is a project done in collaboration with 3 CHSLD* of the MRC of l’Islet ( retirement homes).
I get to draw portraits of their residents. Due to social distancing measures the portraits are made from photographs but I still have the chance to meet virtually each resident that I am drawing.

When all charcoal portraits will be completed, three large oil portraits will be made, insired by all these faces.
You will find on this page daily updates of the portraits. I also try to add as many videos as I can to share the making of these portraits.
I hope you enjoy it !

2020 November 26th
Yesterday, november 25th 2020, I have started to work on “Faces of our history project”.
With a lot of emotions, I have discovered the first 12 models that I will be drawing in the next coming days.
More will be provided to me later on.
Due to covid-19 social distancing restrictions, I was not able to visit residents in CHSLD (retirement homes).
Therefore the local team were put to contribution and have shot dozens of portraits of each resident to let me choose my images references.
Virtual meetings will also be organized so that I can interact with each of them.

Thank you for these sponsors and partners that made this project possible :
